There are several resident faculty members at Ramblewood Dance, and a few guest instructors as well. Resident faculty members will be on-site for the entire week, and will work with participants every day. They will also be on hand for discussions, advice, personal insights, and all daily activities. Ramblewood is unique in that the dancers have the opportunity to interact with the faculty on a personal level, sharing new experiences and growing together as artists. Shelly Masenior Originally from Baltimore, MD, Shelly is a dancer, singer, producer, teacher and choreographer in New York City. Performing credits include Disney, Radio City Music Hall, Warner Brothers Films, New Line Cinema, Off-Broadway and Regional Theatre, International Arts Festival in Italy, Care Wave Japan, National and European Tours including "Fame, the Musical", Bye Bye Birdie, Irene, and West Side Story. Shelly was also the dance captain and assistant choreographer for "Falco", a new Vegas- style show in Vienna, Austria based on the late 80's pop star. She has been on the creative teams and performed in operas such as Candide, Samson and Delilah and Aida, also as associate choreographer and choreograopher of Disney's "High School Musical" and various industrials. Television appearances include dancing for MTV, CBS Morning Show, ABC, Saturday Night Live, The Today Show, David Letterman, The Learning Channel, dancer with Wyclef Jean and in Lou Bega's "Mambo #5" With 15 years of deep and diverse teaching experience with all levels and ages, she has taught at various studios around the US, Germany, Italy, Austria, Japan, Broadway Dance Center in New York, and continues to travel around the country for master classes, choreography, and private instruction. Jason Parsons Jason Parsons has danced with such notable Companies River North, Mia Michael's R.A.W., Dinyos Dance Company (Japan) and Poz Dance Theatre(South Korea). His Industrial credits include work with Sony, BMW, DaeWoo and General Motors. Jason danced with Recording Artist's SWV, Diana King and Celine Dion. His choreography has been seen Internationally at Gwang Ju Biennale Festival (South Korea), ArteDanza (Italy), Nokia Awards (Czech Republic), Minjockchom Cultural Festival (South Korea), Puglia Danza (Italy) and the Seoul Contemporary Jazz Dance Festival (South Korea). As a Master Teacher Jason has taught in the U.S., Canada, England, Japan, South Korea and Italy. Stacey Tookey Stacey is currently performing in "A New Day" featuring Celine Dion. Dance runs in the Tookey family; Stacey’s mother is a choreographer and dance teacher who also owns and runs the dance studio in Edmonton where Stacey trained. Stacey’s brother is also a professional dancer, and she says her younger sister isn’t far behind. Stacey was an apprentice member of Ballet British Columbia, and danced with the NBA’s Grizzlies Extreme Dance Team, Fusion Dance Company and Mia Michaels’ company RAW. She assisted the choreographer in A Few Good Men Dancin’ on Broadway, appeared in the Houston Grand Opera’s production of Carmen, and danced in Seoul, Korea with the Parsons Dance Project. Shannon Torres Shannon is the Artistic Director of Mid-Atlantic Center for the Performing Arts. She has danced her entire life, attending Baltimore School for the Arts and receiving her degree from Towson State University. Her students are performing all over the world in many venues, including "Wicked" on Broadway, Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Alvin Ailey,and American Ballet Theatre, to name just a few. Shannon was a finalist for the Jazz Dance World Congress Choreography Competition, and has taught and choreographed for many of the top young dancers in the country. Melissa Wolfe-Rosebro Melissa Wolfe Rosebro grew up in Maryland, and has been dancing all her life. She came to New York in 1997 to dance professionally, and after experiencing first hand the benefits of Pilates, knew she wanted to deepen her understanding and spread the knowledge. Concurrent with her ongoing local and international dance and choreography career, she apprenticed with Julie Sorrentino at Broadway Pilates for one year and then taught there for three years before receiving full certification from the Physical Mind Institute in 2001. After teaching over the next couple years for various Manhattan Pilates studios and studying with Irene Dowd, Ron Fletcher, Michelle Larson, and Deborah Lessen, Melissa completed Deborah Lessen’s advanced teacher program at the Greene Street Studio in 2004. Melissa has taught ages ranging from 10 to 98 and has focused training in scoliosis and joint replacement protocol as well as dance-related issues and injury. She continues to dance and choreograph modern, jazz and contemporary works and is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. During workouts, Melissa keeps her clients moving while explaining Pilates principles and offering corrections about technique and reminders about breathing. The workouts are deep and intense, but her attitude is always lighthearted. The intention is always to make the tough work of changing your body shape and posture not only productive but fun.
